  1. What: ART OF THE BRICK

When: Saturday, July 1, 2017 – Monday, September 4, 2017

Where: District 3, 802 E WHITING ST., TAMPA, FL 33602

Description: An elaborate display of more than 100 pieces of Lego artwork including the life-sized sculpture of a man ripping open his chest, a 20-foot-long T-Rex skeleton, a giant skull and replicas of famous works including Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night and Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

When: Sundays in July 2017 7:30am

Where: Locations Vary

Description: We are a friendly collection of folks who like to ride our bikes on Sunday mornings. We ride a different area of Tampa Bay each week, on paved roads and/or paved local bike trails. Our distances average from 20 to 30 miles, depending upon the location, and our speed averages from 10 to 16 mph, depending upon the ride. We encourage and welcome new riders, and, if possible, adjust our rides accordingly. July’s schedule as follows:

July 2 -  Weedon Island to St. Petersburg

July 9 -  Safety Harbor to the Clearwater Ream Wilson East/West Trail

July 16 - Pinellas Trail to Tarpon Springs and Fred Howard Beach

July 23 - Tour of Tampa via Palmetto Beach

July 30 - Tour de Forest Hills

Description: Looking for Independence Day fireworks shows in the Tampa Bay area? There are plenty of options, including the massive shows in Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and New Port Richey, as well as smaller shows across Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando and Sarasota counties. With the Fourth of July falling on a Tuesday this year, you could even take in one of the shows during the weekend preceding the holiday, and catch another fireworks display on July 4 proper. Description: Rock the Park is downtown Tampa's FREE monthly music concert series scheduled the first Thursday of every month. Each month’s show runs from 6:30 pm. until 9:30 pm. Located at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Rock the Park provides a lively atmosphere and a venue to listen to great talent in a beautiful relaxing setting. With stadium styled seating within the park, food and drinks on the premises, and an always exciting vibe, Rock the Park is guaranteed not to disappoint.

Description: Only at MOSI, join astronaut Nicole Stott — the first person to paint a work of art in space — for an inside look at women as explorers and artists in space.  Clearwater native and NASA Legend Nicole Stott will share stories of her inspiring path to space, her life as an astronaut and artist, and the pioneering role of female explorers during Women in Space. The award-winning IMAX film A Beautiful Planet, which was filmed by Stott’s fellow astronauts on the International Space Station, is also part of the special event.

Celebrity appearances include Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek's Uhura), Allison Mack who played Chloe Sullivan, on the series Smallville, and Amanda on FX’s Wilfred. Also, Sarah Natochenny the voice of Ash Ketchum on Pokemon, and Jeremy Shada, the voice of Finn the Human from the animated series Adventure Time.
